There was a time, not too long ago when our Church moved in harmony. A time when leadership was not noise but a melody of purpose. When church governance aligned with grace, and our administration echoed the voice of the Holy Spirit. That era, though perfect, bore a rhythm of unity, progress, and sacred responsibility. Today, we remember that rhythm, because somewhere along the way, the melody was broken.
Back then, the leadership of our Church wasn’t just ceremonial, it was purposeful. Structures existed, and they worked. Decisions reflected the sustainability of the Church’s primary objectives: evangelism, holiness, and spiritual growth. Leaders didn’t lead by title but by vision and service. There was harmony when the legally recognized Board of Trustees stood together in truth, transparent in dealings, accountable in stewardship, and unwavering in their integrity. Their rhythm was the Church’s development, and their melody was collective progress.
Those in our church authority once understood the rhythm of proactive governance. They anticipated crises, made sacrifices, and led by example. The Church was guided, not confused and the flock felt secure in the direction being taken. There was a time when the Pastor sought counsel not from echoes of ambition, but from the voice of wisdom. When decisions reflected the broader consensus of God-fearing elders, and not the whispers of manipulation. The rhythm of our leadership resonated because it was guided by Spirit-filled advice and general acceptance.
Today, what we hear is not harmony but dissonance. What was once melodic is now distorted. Discordant voices, fractured structures, and legal entanglements now cloud our divine mission. We await the verdict of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos State, not for the sake of power, but for the clarity of truth and the return of spiritual rhythm. As we remember when the rhythm was melodies in our Church, we pray not just for a verdict but for a revival. A revival of order, of purpose, of integrity. May the instruments of our leadership be retuned. May the choir of the Church’s governance find its key again. And may the Church march forward in a sound that pleases Heaven one heartbeat, one purpose, one Spirit.
Things has fallen apart and center could not hold again . When greed and anger over ride collective goals this becomes the outcome . Pastor EMF cannot be out there seeking reconciliation when he has broken internal chord , Pastor EMF can not be suing for peace when he intentionally created anarchy for his administration, Pastor EMF cannot be advocating for development when he mischievously stepped down all developmental processes of the church . God blessed him to be surrounded with technocrat with principled philosophy and yawning for church developmental ,characters that cannot mortgage their career and pedigree for pecuniary gains , he dissolved them cos he had to listen to his wife and the few over ambitious individuals who are seeking powers and recognition at the deteriment of collapsed institution. So sad but we have to face the reality ,that as it was in the beginning in the days of Adam when he listened to Eve and betrayed God and led to destruction which we are all in it , it’s now and never shall be without end . Issue of betrayal cannever cease except the person is truly called by God .
