AA Bada opened the floodgates of memory and reflection as he marked his 70th birthday on 12th June 2025. The exclusive session offered a powerful insight into the man behind the robes, a man who has witnessed history unfold from the heart of Celestial Church of Christ, from Makoko Village to Abeokuta, from childhood wonder to spiritual leadership.
Now Shepherd of CCC Bada Central Cathedral, Abeokuta, Ogun State V/S/E Tosin Bada has not only inherited the spiritual legacy of his father, Rev. AA Bada, but has also become a living archive of the Church’s formative years, a witness to its divine mysteries and human milestones.
Born in 1955 in Makoko Village, V/S/E Tosin Bada did not just witness the early growth of Celestial Church of Christ, he lived it. His parents were already firm members of the Church under the direct spiritual leadership of Papa SBJ Oshoffa. The Bada household was a training ground for spiritual discipline, and as V/S/E Bada recalled, his mother was not only a prophetess but also a devout disciplinarian. She would never hesitate to report her children’s errors to their father, a man of profound integrity and structure.

Among the many powerful stories shared during the interview was his eyewitness account of the smaller altar, a foundational part of Celestial history. He recounted a day as a young boy when he heard a strange sound from the church beside their home in Makoko. Rushing in, he saw Baba Owoaje shaking uncontrollably, a sight that frightened him so deeply he ran back and locked the door. Though he didn’t understand what was happening at the time, the man passed away that same week. It was following this that God ministered to Papa Oshoffa to lay the smaller altar. This deeply spiritual experience, seen through the eyes of a child, later revealed its full meaning as part of God’s divine architecture for the Church.
When asked to describe his father, Rev Pastor AA Bada, the first son grew emotional. “I cherished everything about my father, his faith, his discipline, his love, his immense sacrifice for his family and for the Church,” he said. But then he paused, “Except one thing,” he added, his voice weighed with emotion. “That one thing, I won’t say it, but it always gave me headaches.”
The silence that followed was powerful. It revealed not bitterness, but the complexity of deep father-son relationships. It was the silence of a man who honors legacy but lives with the quiet cost of leadership, an unseen struggle that only those closest to spiritual giants truly understand.
V/S/E Bada also paid tribute to his late mother, who slept in the Lord in 1984. Far beyond her role as a matriarch, she was a spiritual pillar—a gifted prophetess whose prophetic visions birthed numerous Celestial hymns. Hymns such as 5, 276, 278, 576, 676, 694, 774, 795, 796, and 205 were revealed through her. At her burial, Papa Oshoffa himself sang hymns 205 while praying over her body, a testament to the depth of her spiritual gift and her place in the sacred history of the Church.
The death of Papa SBJ Oshoffa in 1985 became a turning point for V/S/E Tosin Bada. At the time, he was employed with the Nigerian Television Network, but the demands of covering the burial spiritually and professionally weighed heavily on him. He said the burial activities never allows him of going to office, which he received threats of query after resumption of duty, but rather he receives a promotion letter. That experience, however, gave birth to a new vision: Boemax Digital Studios.

Encouraged by friends and church elders, he established the studio, marking the beginning of his journey as a media documentarian and custodian of CCC history. Today, Boemax continues to preserve the Church’s legacy through video, audio, and digital archives that span decades of prophetic movement.
At 70, V/S/E Tosin Bada is not just the first son of a former Pastor; he is a living witness, a spiritual historian, and a bridge between the origin and future of Celestial Church. His life is proof that legacy is not just what is left behind, it is what lives on in those who continue the work with conviction and humility.
