A renewed wave of hope and commitment has emerged from the ongoing 2026 Biennial Convention of the USA Diocese, as the Head of Diocese, Assistant Most Superior Evangelist Joseph Olorunnisola, officially announced plans to resume the long-abandoned diocesan project at Imeko, Ogun State, Nigeria.
Speaking during one of the key convention sessions held in Rhode Island, USA, AMSE Olorunnisola addressed delegates and members with a tone of sincerity and renewed purpose. He acknowledged that the Imeko project strategically located at the World Headquarters of the Church had been stalled for some years due to internal tensions and unresolved challenges within the Diocese at the time.
However, in what many have described as a defining moment of repositioning and forward-thinking leadership, he assured the congregation that those difficult seasons have now given way to a new chapter of unity, stability, and progress.
According to him, the decision to resume the project reflects the Diocese’s commitment to fulfilling its vision and responsibilities, not only to its members in the United States but to the global Celestial Church of Christ.
The proposed development, once completed, is expected to stand as a world-class accommodation and service facility designed to cater to members of the Diocese who will be journey to Imeko for spiritual exercises, pilgrimages, and major church events.
AMSE Olorunnisola revealed that the project will include modern amenities such as a well-equipped gymnasium, a standard kitchen facility, relaxation centers, and a shopping complex features aimed at providing comfort, convenience, and a befitting environment for worshippers.
“This project is not just about infrastructure,” he emphasized, “it is about identity, unity, and our collective presence at the spiritual headquarters of our Church.”
The announcement was met with enthusiasm and optimism among attendees, many of whom see the revival of the Imeko project as a symbol of healing, renewed vision, and progressive leadership within the Diocese.
