The successful visitation of the Pastor of the Celestial Church of Christ, Rev. Emmanuel Mobiyina Friday Oshoffa to Ibadan, Oyo State between the 9th and 11th of May 2026 will remain a memorable and historic moment in the life of the Church. It was not merely an administrative visit, but a spiritual movement of reconciliation, unity, healing and renewed hope for members of the Church within Oyo State and beyond.
Among the dedicated personalities who played remarkable roles toward the success of the visitation was VSE Bukuyi Ojo, the Shepherd of Celestial Church of Christ Hephzibah Cathedral, Off Iwo Road, Ibadan, Oyo State. As Chairman of the Visitation Committee, he demonstrated uncommon commitment, humility, organizational excellence and unwavering loyalty to the growth and peace of the Church.
VSE Bukuyi Ojo proved himself as one of the senior shepherds in Oyo State who genuinely believes that the unity of the Church must remain above personal interests, sentiments or divisions. His role throughout the preparation and execution of the visitation reflected the spirit of sacrifice and maturity expected from leaders entrusted with spiritual responsibilities.
From the early planning stages, VSE Bukuyi Ojo worked tirelessly alongside members of the committee to ensure every aspect of the visitation was properly coordinated. His dedication included several visits to Imeko, consultations with stakeholders, arrangements for accommodation, transportation logistics, security coordination, and ensuring that the Pastor and his entourage experienced a peaceful, comfortable and spiritually welcoming environment throughout their stay in Ibadan.
The success recorded during the visitation was not accidental. It was a product of careful planning, unity of purpose, teamwork and the collective desire of members to embrace peace and reconciliation within the Church. The atmosphere witnessed during the Pastor’s visit reflected a renewed spirit of brotherhood and mutual understanding among shepherds, church workers and members.
Particularly significant was the renewed atmosphere of reconciliation and cooperation between the Pastor, Rev. Emmanuel Mobiyina Friday Oshoffa, and Most Superior Evangelist J.D. Nunayon. Their willingness to embrace dialogue, peace and unity sent a powerful message across the Church that reconciliation remains possible when love, humility and sincerity prevail.
The visitation became a symbol of healing for many members who had long desired to witness renewed harmony within the fold of the Church. In the same manner, Most Superior Evangelist JD Nunayon deserves acknowledgment for embracing the spirit of unity and cooperation during the visitation. His support and positive disposition contributed immensely to the peaceful atmosphere recorded throughout the historic visit.
Special recognition must equally be given to all shepherds, church workers, committee members, choirs, women’s council members, youths and the entire congregation across Oyo State who contributed financially, spiritually and morally toward the success of the visitation. Their encouragement, sacrifices, prayers and support remain invaluable.
The success of the visitation should not end as a temporary celebration alone. Rather, it should serve as the foundation for a new chapter of peace, collaboration and spiritual rebuilding within the Church. Members must resist every act capable of reviving division, bitterness or unnecessary conflict. Instead, everyone must continue to promote dialogue, understanding, accountability, transparency and genuine love among brethren.
As the Church continues its journey forward, leaders and members alike must sustain the newly restored peaceful atmosphere witnessed during the reconciliation process. Unity remains the strength of every spiritual institution, and when members work together in harmony, the Church will continue to grow spiritually, morally and globally.
The May 2026 visitation to Ibadan will remain a testimony of what can be achieved when leaders place the interest of the Church above personal ambitions.
