After a lot of consultation within the circle of Shepherds in Edo State to correct the abnormality in the state. A meeting was held with the Pastor on 20th June 2024, to emphasize the importance of upholding the original vision of the church in Edo State. The United Shepherds Council has made significant progress in removing negative influences within the Celestial community in Edo State.
On 24th March 2025, the Council took a decisive step in defending the institution by conducting visitations to parishes within the Benin metropolis. The purpose of these visits was to monitor parish activities and ensure adherence to the fundamental principles of the Church.
During the visitations, individuals were identified engaging in practices contrary to the Church’s doctrine. The Council promptly condemned these actions and took the necessary steps to excommunicate three female members who don’t have the right to oversee a parish or act as Shepherds. This action was met with appreciation from the congregation, who recognized the Council’s dedication to preserving the true essence of the Celestial Church of Christ.
