A clear signal of positive transformation has emerged within the United Kingdom Diocese of the Celestial Church of Christ, marking a decisive shift in administrative direction and spiritual restoration. This new chapter began on 26th December 2026, when the Pastor, Rev. EMF Oshoffa took a bold and unexpected step to confront the lingering crises that had long hindered the growth and unity of the Diocese, that decision has since proven to be a defining moment one that set the stage for reform, reconciliation, and renewed purpose.
At the onset, the appointment of Venerable Superior Evangelist Ayo Osho as Head of the Management Committee was met with skepticism. Many questioned the decision, largely due to his perceived closeness to the former diocesan leadership. However, within just four months, those doubts have been significantly dispelled.
Rather than reinforce old patterns, VSE Ayo Osho and his team such as VSE Adesanya, Prophet Bareck, Prophet Okelola, VSE Oduwole and AVSE Iyun have demonstrated a remarkable commitment to progressive change, tackling deeply rooted challenges and resolving long-standing issues that had persisted for years. Their performance has not only restored confidence but has also rekindled hope within the Diocese.
Recognising the urgency of reform, the Pastor approved a six-month mandate for the Management Committee to reorganise the Diocese, manage its affairs, and provide informed recommendations for the Office of the Pastor. Within a short span, the Committee has delivered measurable impact across key areas: Strategic Reforms and Milestones –
ESTABLISHMENT OF A RECONCILIATION COMMITTEE:
Understanding that “a house divided against itself cannot stand,” the Management Committee prioritised unity by setting up a Reconciliation Committee. This initiative has been instrumental in addressing long-standing disputes, healing emotional and spiritual wounds, and restoring harmony across parishes.
Additionally, the introduction of a regional administrative structure has brought much-needed coordination, order, and clarity.
THE INTRODUCTION OF A REGIONAL ADMINISTRATIVE STRUCTURE:
In a decisive move aimed at strengthening governance, enhancing coordination, and fostering unity across parishes, the Management Committee of the United Kingdom Diocese has officially introduced a Regional Administrative Structure across the country.
This strategic development, which marks a significant shift from the existing centralised system, includes the appointment of Regional Heads tasked with overseeing ecclesiastical and administrative activities within designated regions. The initiative is guided by a clearly defined policy framework, carefully designed to ensure uniformity, accountability, and effective service delivery throughout the Diocese.
The newly introduced structure is expected to bridge administrative gaps, improve communication between leadership and parishes, and promote more responsive and organised system of governance. By decentralising certain responsibilities, the Diocese aims to bring leadership closer to the grassroots while maintaining the core spiritual and doctrinal values of the Church.
REORGANISATION OF THE WOMEN COUNCIL:
In a significant move, the Committee harmonised various women groups under a unified structure aligned with one vision, one mission, and one purpose. This reorganisation reflects a return to the divine blueprint of the Celestial Church and strengthens the role of women in ministry.
REINTRODUCTION OF THE MEDIA COMMITTEE:
Effective communication is the backbone of modern administration. The re-establishment of a Media and Publicity Team has enhanced transparency, improved information flow, and projected a more dignified and professional image of the Diocese.
YOUTH ENGAGEMENT AND INCLUSION
The Committee has made deliberate efforts to reconnect with the youth, ensuring that the future of the Church remains firmly linked to present leadership. This approach secures continuity, relevance, and generational balance within the Diocese.
STANDARDISATION OF DIOCESAN STRUCTURE:
Through strategic planning and administrative discipline, ministries have been standardized, inefficiencies addressed, and operational frameworks strengthened. These efforts have positioned the CCC UK Diocese as a structured and respected body among Christian organisations in the United Kingdom.
THE TASK AHEAD OF THE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE:
Despite these commendable achievements, the most critical responsibility still lies ahead.
The Management Committee has been entrusted with a sacred and strategic duty to recommend a Head of Diocese who is not only competent and administratively sound but also spiritually grounded and divinely guided.
This decision will shape the future of the Diocese. It requires discernment, integrity, and a deep understanding of both the spiritual and administrative demands of leadership within the Church. The unfolding developments in the United Kingdom Diocese reflect more than administrative reform they signify a revival of vision, unity, and purpose.
If sustained, these efforts could mark the beginning of a lasting legacy one where peace replaces conflict, structure replaces disorder, and progress becomes the new identity of the Diocese. The foundation has been laid. The expectations are high. Now, history awaits the next decisive move.
