Celestial Church of Christ was founded by divine ordinance to preach the gospel of Christ in spirit and in truth. It is a church built on love, purity, and divine order. At the heart of every true parish is a shepherd whose calling is rooted in humility, spiritual discipline, and a desire to serve God’s people faithfully. At CCC Osogbo Parish 1, Osun State that shepherd is Assistant Most Superior Evangelist Firmin Adjovi —a name now synonymous with progressive evangelism, integrity, and divine purpose.
Since assuming leadership of CCC Osogbo Parish 1, AMSE Adjovi has labored with grace and diligence to build not just a parish, but a spiritual family grounded in love, order, and truth. Through divine vision and cooperative leadership, the parish has experienced remarkable transformation. Under his stewardship, CCC Osogbo Parish 2 was planted—evidence of fruitful ministry. He spearheaded the construction of a church-owned hospital, an unprecedented milestone that places the health and well-being of the community under the compassionate reach of God’s church. More than these physical accomplishments, the testimonies of changed lives, spiritual growth, and renewed faith continue to abound.
It was therefore disheartening when, in April 2025, a false petition was submitted by two parish members, C/E/B Babalola Anu and Evangelist Olabisi Shola, with one Evang Bankole from Ede 3 to the Pastor Office in Ketu, Lagos. The petition sought to malign the character and integrity of AMSE Adjovi with baseless accusations of financial impropriety, an allegation that not only lacked evidence, but was easily disproven by parish financial records.
It is important to clarify that AMSE Adjovi is not a signatory to the parish account, nor does he personally manage the parish fund. These administrative matters are handled in accordance with church procedure by the Parochial Committee.
In the spirit of peace and order, the parish convened a thorough investigation on Saturday, 31st May 2025. During the meeting, attended by key Parish Elder, Parochial Committee and concerned members—C/E/B Babalola Anu and Evangelist Olabisi Shola admitted their wrongdoing. They acknowledged the petition was submitted without the consent, fueled by misinformation and personal bias rather than truth.
An agreement was reached in love: they would submit a written apology and retraction by Monday, 2nd June 2025. The parish, valuing reconciliation over retribution, extended grace with the hope of healing.
Regrettably, as of the agreed deadline, no apology was submitted. The deliberate failure to uphold their commitment has left the parish leadership with no choice but to seek redress through appropriate legal channels. This step is not taken out of bitterness, but as a necessary measure to preserve the sanctity of leadership and the integrity of their spiritual instinct.
CCC Osogbo Parish 1 stands united behind their Shepherd, AMSE Adjovi. His name has been cleared not just by documentation and confessions, but by the evidence of his works and the witness of the Spirit. This episode has served to strengthen the bond of the faithful and reaffirm our collective commitment to truth, order, and love.
With the help and guidance of AMSE Adjovi, CCC Osogbo 1 Parish was able to secure a landed property located behind the church, a significant milestone for the parish. He also played a pivotal role in uniting the youth across the Osogbo Region, culminating in the establishment of the Osogbo Central Choir, a symbol of harmony and spiritual growth among young members.
In an extraordinary move, AMSE Adjovi recovered a long-forgotten property belonging to the region. For the first time in the history of Celestial Church of Christ in Osun State, members from all parishes under the CCC Osogbo Region gathered on this land to celebrate Easter picnic together—an unprecedented moment of unity and revival.
Under his leadership, the region experienced visible and profound growth, both spiritually and physically, among church members. These and many more are the impactful contributions AMSE Adjovi made in our midst. Yet, despite these noble efforts, a few misguided individuals continue to attempt to tarnish his image. But truth stands, and history will remember his works.
We urge the broader Celestial Church family to remember that false accusations are not merely offenses against men, they are wounds to the body of Christ. Yet, where there is truth, there is light, and no darkness can overcome it.
We move forward, not in division, but in renewed strength—grateful for leadership that reflects the heart of Christ and determined to continue the mission entrusted to us.
