On the 1st of June 2025, the air was filled with hope, colour, and inspiration as the children of Celestial Church of Christ Omo Alade Alafia Parish 4, Akure, Ondo State joined their counterparts across the world in celebrating this year’s Juvenile Harvest, a sacred occasion that stands as a divine reminder of God’s covenant with children and the bright promise they hold for the future.
But at this Parish, the celebration went beyond hymns, chronograph, drama, and hallelujahs, it became a living testimony of leadership, transformation, and divine potential. In a moment that left many speechless and inspired, the children staged a dramatic legislative session, symbolizing the workings of national governance. Dressed in dignity and confidence, these young stars assumed the roles of Senators, Ministers, and even President, revealing a maturity far beyond their years.
One young boy, in the role of the President, delivered a thoughtful and visionary address. He emphasized that “the commitment of each individual to the development of humanity makes a positive contribution to the world we share.” He passionately called on his fellow children to appreciate the endless sacrifices of their parents, underscoring the power of love and the sacred bond within families. With a wisdom rarely seen in youth, he encouraged his peers to live as examples of positive manifestation, to listen attentively to their parents, prioritize their education, and show unwavering respect to elders.
In a deeply moving moment, he acknowledged and honoured Elder Pius and Mother Celestial Mercy Olarewaju, the Patron and Patroness of the Parish, whom God has used to transform the lives of many in the church. Through their charity-driven focus on education, many children regardless of background have been able to access quality education and grow in a nurturing spiritual environment. Their belief in the power of family as a foundation of success and peace has become a beacon of light within the Parish.
