As preparations intensify for the 2026 Cantata of Region C, USA Diocese, the Choir Master of the Region, Senior Leader Michael Balogun has described this year’s Cantata as a heartfelt expression of gratitude to God for His endless mercy, grace and faithfulness upon the Region and the Church at large.
Speaking ahead of the musical programme scheduled to hold on Saturday, 16th May 2026 at 12832 Chadron Avenue, Hawthorne, California 90250, Senior Leader Balogun explained that the theme, “Ornament of Grace,” reflects the beauty of God’s favour and the spiritual significance of praise through music ministry.
According to him, “The 2026 Region C Cantata is not just a musical gathering, but a spiritual assignment to glorify God for His mercy and faithfulness over the Region. The theme, ‘Ornament of Grace,’ reminds us that everything we are today is by the grace of God.”
He further stated that the programme is designed to inspire worshippers and strengthen the bond of unity among choristers and members across the Region.
“Music remains one of the strongest instruments of evangelism in the Church. Through this Cantata, souls will be blessed, hearts will be revived, and God alone shall be glorified. We are coming together with gratitude, love and spiritual harmony,” he said.
Senior Leader Balogun also commended the unwavering commitment and sacrificial efforts of members of the Cantata 26’ Committee for their steadfastness, unity, love and dedication toward the success of the programme and the growth of the Church.
The committee members include: H/S/E Dr. Opeyemi Bello, H/S/E Olusegun Oshinkoya, H/S/E Seun Dodo-Williams, L/S/P Funmi Komolafe, L/S/S/E/S Sayo Akinwotu, Sis. Olabimpe Abaniwonda (Treasurer), Sis. Similoluwa Ojelade (Secretary), Sis. Elizabeth Babajide, Sis. Elizabeth Abogunrin.
He specially applauded the committee for their sacrifices and dedication toward ensuring a successful Cantata programme.
“I sincerely appreciate every member of the Cantata Committee for their passion, dedication and selfless service. Their commitment to the work of God and the growth of Region C is highly commendable. This programme is possible because of teamwork, love and unity,” he added.

Senior Leader Micheal Balogun also appreciated the leadership and continuous support of the Regional Head, VSE Joseph Awosika, alongside the Head of USA Diocese, AMSE Joseph Olorunnisola, for their encouragement toward musical evangelism and spiritual development across the Region.
The highly anticipated Cantata is expected to gather choristers, worshippers and Celestians from different Parishes within and outside California for a glorious atmosphere of worship, hymns and spiritual ministration, all to the glory of God.
