Despite the genuine efforts of some concerns members to change the negative narrative surrounding our Church, there are still individuals who persist in injecting poison to the doctrinal practice of the Church. These individuals fail to consider the impact of their actions on the Church, or the sacred covenant that the Church represents as a vessel of salvation to the world.
Once again, a Parish has chosen to seek worldly attention by inviting the Fuji secular musician Abass Akande Obesere, also known as Omo Rapala, to perform at CCC Revelation Model Parish in Oyo State for their their 7th Adult Harvest Thanksgiving Night schedule for 6th December 2024.
The Shepherd of the Parish Prophet Adigun Solomon Akinpelu, a Prophet holding the rank of Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist seems to lack an understanding of the implications of having a secular musician perform at a Gospel gathering. This decision serves as a clear indication that some members do not grasp the true essence of Celestial Church of Christ, nor do they prioritize the continuation of the Church’s evangelization efforts since its establishment in 1947.
The current state of affairs within the Church remains unchanged, as the Church authority lacks the ability to enforce necessary corrections. The era of discipline, accountability and transparency has seemingly come to an end with the passing of Late Rev AA Bada. The Church authority struggles to maintain control over its parishes, particularly those led by independent shepherds who have built their parish with their own resources. The Church authority appears to be solely focused on receiving monthly returns from these parishes, without establishing any standards or enforcing requirements for guide those shepherds who choose to path their followers outside the context of Celestial Church of Christ laws.
