The Pastor of Celestial Church of Christ Rev Pastor EMF Oshoffa has charged the government to be proactive in their economic policies as the people struggle to meet their daily need. The Pastor expressed his concern in his New Year Message to the world on the 1st of January 2024.
In a Press Statement released through the Church Spokesman, Sup Evang Ajala, the Pastor stated that “ I call on the ruling class to be sensitive to the plight of the masses. Many have been impoverished by run-away inflation which has taken the basic needs of life out of the reach of the masses. The worrisome issues of insecurity and wanton killings need to be addressed and nipped in the bud permanently. The sad truth is that posterity will certainly judge our leaders badly if they fail to get it right at this critical time in the history of Nigeria”.
We acknowledge that the task before the country’s leadership is herculean but as a church, the Celestial Church of Christ, will not relent in praying for God’s guidance, grace and the divinely inspired ability to steer the nation’s ship aright amidst all the challenges. I pray that the Lord upholds and guides our leaders right in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
It is also my prayer that the fortunes of our country, Nigeria, as well as our individual fortunes, turns around for good in the new year, 2024. May this New Year usher in the peace, succour and abundant blessings that we all yearn for in this great nation.”
