The Investiture Ceremony held at Celestial Church of Christ Great Oshoffa Parish in Chicago, USA was a momentous occasion filled with great significance. On the 8th December 2024, members of the Parish gathered to fulfil one of the core values of the Church by undergoing their investiture.
In accordance with section 185 of the Church Constitution, the Shepherd of the Parish followed established protocol to elevate deserving members who had met the requirements outlined in the laws of the Church. The joy and happiness expressed by these members as they were consecrated as vessels of glory for the Church was truly palpable.
A/V/S/E Benjamin Oshoffa, the Parish Shepherd emphasized the importance of anointment in the context of divine instruction. Drawing parallels to the consecration of Aaron and his sons as priests by Moses, he highlighted that anointment is not means to elevate one’s self-esteem or showcase materialistic gains. Rather, it is a solemn responsibility to propagate the message of God, provide for the less privileged, uphold doctrinal practices of the Church and strengthen the unity of CCC Great Oshoffa Parish.
The Shepherd quoted Luke 4 Vs 18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free”
The Investiture Ceremony was a testament to the commitment and dedication of the members of CCC Great Oshoffa Parish to serving their parish and spreading the teachings of the Church.
