In a dramatic turn of events at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos on the 26th of April 2023, the legal counsel to the registered BOT made a shocking revelation, he altered the court of the illegal action of the Pastor to appoint members to the Pastor in Council. Then, the legal counsel to the Pastor stated that he was not aware of Rev. EMF Oshoffa appointing any members of the Church to the Pastor in Council (PIC). Furthermore, he declared that if the Pastor had indeed made such appointments, they would be immediately reversed due to their questionable legality in the eyes of the Court.
Justice Peter Iifiu wasted no time in demanding that the Pastor reverse his decision and maintain the Status Quo until the case is resolved. As a result, the appointments of Prophet Hamilton, A/V/S/E Omidiora, and M/C Olowolayemo to the PIC were nullified by the Court.
Following this bombshell revelation in court, the Pastor’s legal counsel promptly sent a letter to inform the Pastor of the illegal nature of the appointments. This action was taken as the registered Board of Trustees had initiated legal proceedings against the Pastor for dissolving a legally recognized Board under Nigerian law.
According to Nigerian law, the appointment of Prophet Hamilton, A/V/S/E Omidiora and M/C Olowolayemo as members of the PIC is completely illegal and unlawful. The Registered BOT has the absolute right to arrest and prosecute anyone who falsely claims to be a member of the MPIC after Justice Peter Iifu issued a court order on the 26th of April 2023. These rogue MPIC members are violating the Church doctrine by conducting services without an Altar and promoting the disruption of our Sunday Glorious Service.
It’s shocking to think that these Illegal MPIC members were the subject of major criticism of Rev EMF Oshoffa’s administration, people who condemn his leadership abilities on various whatsapp Group but interestingly, those same illegal individual had a change of heart after receiving illegal appointment. They initially believed that Rev EMF Oshoffa was not sent by God to lead the Church, but their perspective shifted once they were given these illegal appointments.
