The colloquium held in celebration of the 80th birthday of Most Superior Evangelist Olusegun Olarinde on the 24th of April 2024 at CCC International Headquarters in Ketu, Lagos State was a truly enlightening and memorable event. The gathering was filled with stories of Olarinde’s early days as a shepherd in the fold.
One of the most captivating moments was when the senior clergy shared his experience of Prophetess Vero, who reduced hymn 621 from God to the Church. M/S/E Olarinde revealed that he was the one who transcribed the lyrics of the hymn as Prophetess Vero was in a trance at CCC Cardoso Parish in Apapa, Lagos.
He went on to explain that he passed the hymn on to late Rev. AA Bada, who was then the second-in-command to the Pastor Founder. Olarinde recalled, “Baba Bada took interest in the hymn, and soon he was singing it perfectly. In less than two years, the hymn was added to the Church’s general hymn book.”
The energy and excitement in the room were palpable as M/S/E Olarinde recounted these incredible moments from the past. It was a truly special occasion, filled with joy and celebration as the Celebration continue on the 4th of May 2024 with a Thanksgiving Service at CCC International Headquarters, Ketu Lagos while the reception was hold at Funplex Resort, 39 CMD Road, Magodo, Shangisha, Lagos while another celebration to honor the man of value will come up on the 18th of May 2024 at CCC Harton Street National Headquarters London UK.
