Orderliness is one of the fundamental attributes of a successful institution. In every organisation that seeks growth, stability and respect, discipline and proper coordination remain indispensable. Celestial Church of Christ, established as a divine mission with heavenly ordinances and spiritual principles, is no exception.
From the sacred city of Imeko, the spiritual headquarters of the Church, to the smallest parish in rural communities and major cities across the world, there is an urgent need to strengthen and sustain a culture of orderliness in every aspect of church life.
Orderliness goes beyond physical arrangement of chairs or the cleanliness of the church auditorium. It encompasses respect for constituted authority, adherence to church doctrines, proper conduct during worship, punctuality at services, modest dressing, and mutual respect among members irrespective of rank or position.
In recent years, the growth of the Church has brought with it increased responsibilities in crowd management during pilgrimages, harvests, revivals, investitures and other major programmes. Such gatherings require planning, coordination and discipline from both leaders and members. A church that represents heaven on earth must reflect heavenly order in its operations.
The altar is sacred and should be treated with reverence. Movements within the sanctuary should be orderly, unnecessary discussions during worship should be discouraged, and members should maintain an atmosphere that promotes prayer, concentration and spiritual communion with God.
Church hierarchy must also be respected. Shepherds, evangelists, prophets, prophetesses, leaders and workers all have defined responsibilities designed to ensure smooth administration of church affairs. When members bypass procedures or disregard constituted authority, confusion and misunderstanding often follow.
The younger generation of Celestians also has an important role to play. The influence of social media and digital technology must not erode the values of modesty, discipline and reverence that have distinguished the Church over the years. Every photograph, video recording and online publication associated with the Church should project dignity and uphold the sanctity of our worship and traditions.
