It is evident that some individuals possess innate qualities that naturally make them exceptional leaders. In this perspective, leaders are believed to be born, not made. Brother Gbenga Adebayo Daniel, the Convener of Luli Concert is a prime example of this. His unwavering dedication and commitment to his mission have solidified his position as a true leader.
Initially tasked with organizing a musical concert at the World Headquarters of the Church in Imeko every December, Brother Gbenga faced numerous challenges from detractors who sought to derail his efforts. Despite receiving SMS messages urging him to abandon his vision, he remained steadfast in his beliefs. In a bold move, he relocated the vision to Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos State, ensuring that the show receives the attention of acceptability.
In his inspiring welcome speech on the 4th October 2024, he took his time to recognize those who have unwaveringly supported the vision of the Luli Concert, as well as those who exemplify exceptional leadership qualities. He graciously acknowledged Pastor Founder Rev SBJ Oshoffa, whom God used as a vessel, and the current Pastor Rev EMF Oshoffa. He also expressed his gratitude to the Doyen of Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, MSE Banjo, for his wise guidance and to Elder Pius Olarewaju, whom he affectionately referred to as his mentor, brother, and a dedicated supporter of the Luli Concert vision.
In the speech, the Convener passionately shared how his mentor consistently prioritizes the vision of the Concert, transforming dreams into reality. He described his mentor as a visionary who advocates for positive outcomes and turns ideas into action. The Convener emphasized how his mentor shares wisdom, offers valuable advice, and is always there to support him.
A special mention was made of Most Superior Evangelist Taiwo Oshin by the Convener, who he said brought the message of salvation to his hometown at Emuren Remo in 1959, leading to the establishment of Celestial Church of Christ Emuren Parish 1 that same year. From this parish emerged Brother Gbenga Adebayo Daniel, whose unwavering faith in Jesus Christ has guided him away from succumbing to peer pressure and towards achieving remarkable success. Through God’s wisdom, Brother Gbenga Adebayo Daniel has been able to acquire knowledge and apply it effectively, culminating in the organization of a globally recognized musical concert that has put Celestial Church of Christ on the map.
Brother Gbenga Adebayo Daniel resilience and determination in the face of adversity serve as an inspiration to all. His ability to adapt and overcome obstacles is a testament to his leadership skills. As the Convener of Luli Concert, he continues to lead by example, demonstrating that true leaders are indeed born, not made.
