As Celestial Church of Christ Akoka Parish Glade Cathedral, located at No 3, Afolabi Brown Street, Akako, Lagos State, prepares to celebrate its 50th Harvest Thanksgiving, the Parish has embarked on an extensive renovation of the worship facility. The Golden Jubilee Harvest is scheduled to take place on the 7th December 2025, marking five decades of the Parish’s spiritual journey and service to God.
The Parish was established in 1975 with the divine mandate “to transform and manifest the presence of Jesus Christ to the world.” The Pastor Founder, Prophet Samuel Bilewu Joseph Oshoffa, laid a strong prophetic foundation for the Parish, placing it on a high spiritual standard.
Over the years, past church leaders succeeding the Pastor Founder have continually maintained a close relationship with the Parish, supporting its growth and mission on the path of salvation.
For nearly five decades, CCC Akoka Parish, Glade Cathedral, Akoka, Lagos has remained committed to preserving the doctrines and teachings of Celestial Church of Christ. Through Revivals, Prayers, Bible teachings, and Evangelism, the Parish has continued to nurture the faith of members while contributing significantly to the spiritual development of the Church.
In preparation for the upcoming 50th Harvest Celebration, a major renovation project has commenced within the church premises. The ongoing works include:
Rebuilding The Main Parish Structure,
Construction of modern restrooms and essential facilities,
Upgrading the worship environment & the Mercyland,
Beautification of the entire cathedral compound.
These upgrades are aimed at transforming the Parish into a more welcoming, functional, and spiritually uplifting centre of worship as it enters a new era.
The Shepherd of the Parish, Prophet Segun Ademusire, emphasized that the work being done goes beyond physical renovation. In his words: “This transformation is both physical and spiritual. We are rebuilding the house of God and preparing the hearts of worshippers for a greater move of the Holy Spirit. The 50th Harvest will be a season of renewal, revival, and divine visitation.”
