It appears that the Church leadership is playing a game of divide and conquer to maintain their power within the Church. As the congregation eagerly anticipates a reshuffling of the strict rules imposed on the Most Superior Evangelists, some of whom have faithfully served for over 50 years barefoot as Shepherd.
Once again, the Pastor has spoken through his Spokesman, stirring up more confusion regarding the position of International Representative. The latest press release only mentions Most Superior Evangelist M.O Ajao as the International Representative, completely disregarding other senior clergies who were previously recognized as such by the Pastor. The position of Most Superior Evangelist Nunayon speaks for itself, as the Pastor has previously acknowledged his high standing within the Church hierarchy. The same level of respect was given to Most Superior Evangelist Akindoyin and Most Superior Evangelist Olarinde, as they are well aware of their rightful places in the ranks.
The recent public statements referring to a single individual out of the 4 Most Superior Evangelists as International Representatives by the Church Spokesman indicate a deliberate attempt by the Pastor to sow discord and confusion among the members of the Church. This divisive tactic of divide and rule is concerning and could potentially harm the already collapsed system of our Church. It is strongly recommended that those advising the Pastor to pursue such a confusing strategy reconsider their approach for the greater good of the Church.
This kind of behaviour could tarnish the legacy of Rev EMF Oshoffa and impact future generations of the Church. The leadership of late Rev AA Bada is remembered for its strong discipline and establishment of a solid administrative structure for the Church. He implemented checks and balances that ensured effective management during his tenure.
As we reflect on the leadership of Rev EMF Oshoffa, it is important to consider the lessons learned from the past and strive for unity and cohesion for the Church.
