One of the factional Pastor and Spiritual Head of Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, Rt. Rev. Prophet Victor Adekunle Lawal JP, yesterday 20th August 2026 inaugurated newly appointed members of the Pastor-in-Council, charging them to approach their responsibilities with dedication, wisdom, humility and the fear of God.
The inauguration which took place at CCC Jesse Memorial International Headquarters, Lagos State marked another significant development in the administration and leadership structure of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, as deserving elders were formally inducted into the Pastor-in-Council.
The Pastor-in-Council is regarded as one of the highest-level advisory and consultative bodies constituted by the Pastor and Spiritual Head, with its members expected to contribute their wealth of experience, spiritual understanding and wisdom to the advancement of the Church.
Addressing the newly inaugurated members, the Pastor and Spiritual Head charged them to see their appointment not merely as an honour, but as a call to greater service and responsibility. He urged them to remain committed to the vision, doctrine and spiritual heritage of the Celestial Church of Christ while working collectively for the peace, unity and progress of the Church.
The newly appointed members were also encouraged to demonstrate maturity, discipline, confidentiality and fairness in the discharge of their responsibilities, bearing in mind the significance of the office entrusted to them.
Membership of the Pastor-in-Council carries considerable responsibility, as the council is expected to provide meaningful counsel on matters affecting the spiritual and administrative development of the Church.
The inauguration therefore comes with great expectations from the Celestial family, particularly as the newly constituted council begins its assignment at a time when the Church continues to look towards stronger leadership, greater unity and sustainable progress.
