It was a deeply emotional and reflective atmosphere as members and the general public gathered at Celestial Church of Christ gathered at CCC Olowu Cathedral, Lagos Island, Lagos State, for the Amissa Service held in honour of Late Most Superior Evangelist Abraham Ajose, a devoted servant of God who faithfully laboured in the vineyard during his lifetime.
The solemn service drew the presence of prominent personalities within the fold, including Most Superior Evangelist Olusegun Olarinde, AMSE Afsi Kiki, Mother Celestial Ojeronke Ogunremi, and several other anointed servants of God, all of whom came to pay their last respects and celebrate a life of impact and dedication.
Delivering the sermon, Most Superior Evangelist Olusegun Olarinde charged the congregation to live with eternity in view. He emphasized that life on earth is transient, and that every individual will ultimately be judged according to their works.
“We must think beyond this present world,” he declared. “Our actions here on earth form the basis upon which we shall be judged on the last day.”
Reflecting on the life and ministry of the departed soul, MSE Olarinde described Late M/S/E Abraham Ajose as a committed Shepherd and a strong voice within the Church, one who stood firmly for truth, discipline, and the propagation of the gospel. He noted that the deceased played his role diligently and left behind a legacy worthy of emulation.
The service was not only a moment of mourning but also one of thanksgiving to God for a life well spent in His service. Members and well-wishers were encouraged to uphold the values of faith, dedication, and service exemplified by the late servant of God.
