Celestial Church of Christ Ore Ofe Parish, Ilode, Ile-Ife, Osun State has officially been reopened by the authority of the Pastor, Rev. Emmanuel Mobiyina Friday Oshoffa. The reopening exercise was carried out by the Church’s Task Force Committee under the leadership of its Chairman, Assistant Most Superior Evangelist Akinbode Adjovi, acting strictly on directives from the supreme authority of the Church.
This development follows a thorough administrative and disciplinary review conducted by the Task Force, in collaboration with the Olorunsogo Region leadership under the supervision of VSE Josu Michael. The action became necessary in response to an unfortunate incident involving the death of a lady within the parish premises.
Findings from a detailed investigation carried out jointly by the Task Force and the Osun State Police Command confirmed that the Shepherd of the parish was not involved in any wrongdoing. Medical reports established that the deceased had underlying health challenges, which led to the incident. Furthermore, the family of the deceased formally communicated with the Church authority, clearly stating that the Shepherd bore no responsibility for the incident and expressing their decision not to pursue any legal action against either the Shepherd or the Church.
Following the submission of a comprehensive report by both the Regional Head and the Task Force Committee, final approval for the reopening was granted by the Pastor. The reopening of the parish marks a significant step toward restoring normalcy, reaffirming the Church’s commitment to due process, justice, and spiritual order within its fold.
