One of the greatest crises confronting the present leadership of Celestial Church of Christ is its inability to admit mistakes, accept criticism, and implement corrective measures. Rather than operate as a sacred institution led by spiritual discernment, the Church hierarchy has increasingly mirrored the chaotic political culture of Nigeria’s political parties like PDP and APC where injustice, inequality, internal violence, and total disregard for accountability reign unchecked.
Today, the Church has weaponized silencing, victimization and expulsion against any member with dissenting opinions. Constructive criticism, once a cornerstone of growth and reform, is now viewed as sacrilege. The prevailing culture frames every critical voice as an enemy of the Pastor, Rev. EMF Oshoffa and this attitude has severely weakened the Church’s spiritual authority. Sadly, the Pastor has failed to manage a spiritual church with spiritual principles.
Most Snr Evang David Bello has now become a casualty of this broken system. As Chairman of the Youth Development & Empowerment Committee under the Pastor-in-Council (PIC), he was unjustly humiliated when the Church’s spokesman publicly announced his removal not for misconduct, but for voicing concerns over poor leadership and unsafe organization of the March 2025 anointment exercise, where many members suffered injuries during the chaotic event, a direct result of poor planning and leadership negligence. Evangelist Bello, fulfilling his duty to speak truth, raised these concerns in the Council’s WhatsApp group.
But instead of being acknowledged or constructively engaged, his comments were deemed unacceptable by the Church leadership. His removal was swift, and the message was loud: “DISAGREE WITH US, AND YOU’RE GONE.” This leads us to ask an urgent question: Is the Church leadership creating a culture of fear among members? Is free expression now an offence in the house of God?
What makes this even more troubling is the legitimacy crisis surrounding the Pastor-in-Council. The current PIC, inaugurated on 27th February 2021had a tradition tenure of two years pre term, with additional extension of another 2 years, which officially ended on 27th February 2025, while the Pastor hasn’t official announce any further extension of the Council. Yet, the Church continues to operate with this expired council, clinging to power via WhatsApp groups and authoritarian enforcement. Evangelist Bello’s boldness to speak against this decayed system was the true reason for his removal, a fact even confirmed by the Church’s spokesman in a meeting with the International Youth Committee held on the 31st May 2025 at the International Headquarters of the Church in Lagos.
Worse still, during this meeting, the spokesman clarified that VSE Uadiale is not the Youth Coordinator of the Church as previously claimed by the Pastor Office, but merely the Chairman of Youth Development & Empowerment Committee under PIC, a further example of the confusion and mismanagement plaguing the Church hierarchy.
Evangelist David Bello’s experience is not an isolated incident, it’s a reflection of a Church leadership system that has lost its soul. When truth becomes dangerous, and honesty is punished, we must ask ourselves: What spirit is driving our decisions? If fear replaces faith, and silence becomes safer than sincerity, we risk becoming a religious institution with no spiritual compass.
May Celestial Church of Christ find the humility to repent, restructure, and return to its divine foundation where truth is not punished, but embraced.
Message from MSE David Bello to CCC Worldwide
Halleluyah to our Esteemed Youth of Celestial Church of Christ worldwide.
The above release from the church mouth piece concerning the appointment of AVSE Victor Uadiale as Youth Coordinator of CCC worldwide refers. I know many of you will be surprised noting that in the communication it was stated that he will take over from me with immediate effect.
I would have not said anything if my name was mentioned as I am not the Youth Coordinator worldwide and have never refer to myself as Youth Coordinator worldwide even when I was IYC Cord. So asking someone to take over from me as Youth Coordinator is confusing to me. I repeat to all the Youths of this great Church, I have never referred to myself as Youth Coordinator worldwide, because I was not appointed as Youth Coordinator worldwide. I was the Chairman Youth Development and Empowerment Committee.
You will be surprised that I refer to myself as, was the Chairman Youth Development and Empowerment Committee, yes because I have been suspended as a member of Pastor In Council and also as the Chairman of Youth Development and Empowerment Committee.
I want to thank all the Youth most especially our Youth Organization Nigeria Region, the Francophone Team and our Diaspora Team for the little effort we are able to put together working to unite the Youth of this church worldwide. I am just a servant that was called to serve, the owners have said my services are no more required.
I thank his Eminence Reverend Pastor Emanuel Mobiyina Friday Oshoffa for the opportunity to serve and this has been communicated through the same mouth piece Sup. Ajala that sent the letter to me.
I wish all of you a good time in the service to God in this our great Church.
God bless the Youths of Celestial Church Christ worldwide.
Signed
MSE David Bello

May Almighty God of Celestial redirect our pastor Mobiyina Oschoffa back to Holy Spirit as done by our great father SBJ. Our pastor Mobiyina started spiritually but at present he has gone astray far away from the spiritual foundation of our great church. He is very much in flesh nowadays than in spirit. He has to refocus his attention to the things of the spirit and stop and stop introducing too many people to things of the world and flesh. Plain truth, if the leadership likes take it or leave it. Allow things of the Holy Spirit to prevail than his present position as a pastor.
