Lieutenant Colonel Micheal Toriola has been appointed as the Acting Director of the Nigeria Army Music Corps. This appointment has been officially approved by the Nigeria Army under the leadership of General Lagbaja.
The Army School of Music (NASM) is a vital part of the corps, which falls under the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC). The Nigerian Army Band Corps (NABC) is the military band branch of the Nigerian Army. With this new role, Lieutenant Colonel Micheal Toriola will be overseeing all Nigeria Army Music Division’s.
It is worth noting that Lieutenant Colonel Micheal Toriola is the son of late V/S/E J.O Toriola, who was the pioneer shepherd of CCC Isheri Cathedral, Ojodu-Berger, Lagos State & former State Evangelist in Ogun State. Currently, he worships at CCC Central Parish in FCT, Abuja holding the anointment rank of Special Venerable Most Senior Evangelist.
In 2012, the Army Council, in accordance with sections 10 (1) and 11(b) of the Armed Forces Act CAP A20 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 announced the promotion of SVMSE Micheal Toriola from Major to Lieutenant Colonel in the Nigerian Army Force, while he also received another appointment in 2024 as the Acting Director of Nigeria Army Crops.
The Shepherd of CCC International Headquarters Ketu, V/S/E Olatosho Oshoffa attended the ceremony and guard of honour parade, accompanied by his assistant and the Shepherd of CCC Onala Parish, Ibadan, V/S/E Matthew Kolawole Olakanmi.
V/S/E Olatosho Oshoffa expressed his heartfelt joy at the appointment of Lieutenant Colonel Micheal Toriola. He stated that the appointment is a clear indication of the grace bestowed upon the church to produce individuals who will play significant roles in controlling various aspects of Nigeria and beyond. He further emphasized that the Church has been a beneficiary of God’s elevation through the appointment of members in various government agencies and ministries.
