The Shepherd-in-Charge of Celestial Church of Christ Great Oshoffa Cathedral, Special District Headquarters, Chicago, Illinois, USA, Venerable Superior Evangelist Benjamin Olawale Oshoffa has called on members of the church and the Christian faithful to come together in gratitude to God as the cathedral prepares for its 2026 Annual Adult Harvest and Thanksgiving Service.
The highly anticipated harvest celebration, themed “Jehovah Jireh” (Genesis 22:14) is scheduled to hold from Wednesday, 5th August to Sunday, 9th August 2026 at the church auditorium located at 6850 West Addison Street, Chicago, Illinois 60634, USA.
Speaking ahead of the annual thanksgiving celebration, V/S/E Benjamin Olawale Oshoffa described the harvest as a divine opportunity for God’s people to acknowledge His immeasurable goodness and faithfulness throughout the year.
The week-long programme will commence on Wednesday, 5th August with the Super Wednesday Service at 6:00 p.m., setting the spiritual tone for the celebration. On Thursday, 6th August members will participate in Cleaning the House of God beginning at 12:00 noon, demonstrating their commitment to maintaining the sanctity of God’s sanctuary.
“Our harvest is more than an annual celebration; it is a sacred moment of gratitude before God. We have chosen the theme ‘Jehovah Jireh’ because we have experienced His abundant provision, protection and mercy in every aspect of our ministry and personal lives. We invite everyone to come with a heart of thanksgiving, believing that the God who provided for Abraham is still providing for His children today. This harvest will be a time of renewed faith, spiritual revival and overflowing blessings,” the Shepherd said.

The spiritual atmosphere will intensify on Friday, 7th August with the Night of Divine Provision – Celebrating the Faithfulness of Jehovah Jireh, scheduled for 6:00 p.m. The special service is expected to feature fervent prayers, praise and worship, testimonies, thanksgiving, prophetic ministrations and words of encouragement centred on God’s miraculous provision.
Activities will continue on Saturday, 8th August with an All White Barbecue Event from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., creating an atmosphere of Christian fellowship, unity and celebration among members, families and invited guests.
The celebration will climax on Sunday, 9th August 2026, with the Harvest of Jehovah Jireh Thanksgiving Service at 11:00 a.m., during which members will offer thanksgiving unto God for His blessings, favour and divine sustenance over the past year.
As preparations reach their final stage, expectations continue to build among members of Celestial Church of Christ across North America.
