Head of the United States Diocese of Celestial Church of Christ, AMSE Joseph Olorunnisola, has assured members and invited guests that the forthcoming Adult Harvest Thanksgiving of his parish, themed “The City Set Upon My Hill” taken from Matthew 5:14, will be a spiritually enriching and impactful gathering.
Speaking ahead of the much-anticipated harvest celebration, AMSE Olorunnisola explained that the theme was carefully chosen to remind believers of their divine responsibility as representatives of Christ in a world searching for light, hope, and direction.
According to him, the scripture, “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid,” emphasizes the calling of Christians to live exemplary lives that reflect the glory of God and attract others to His kingdom.
He noted that the harvest programme will not only be a period of thanksgiving for God’s faithfulness but will also feature intensive spiritual activities designed to strengthen the faith of worshippers and inspire them towards greater commitment to God and humanity.
AMSE Olorunnisola further revealed that the event will include fervent prayers, soul-lifting worship sessions, powerful messages from anointed ministers of God, and opportunities for fellowship among members from different parishes and dioceses.
“The harvest is expected to be spiritually filled and transformative for everyone in attendance. We are trusting God for revival, renewal, and divine encounters that will leave lasting impacts on lives,” he stated.
He therefore encouraged members of Celestial Church of Christ and the general public to participate actively in the programme and prepare their hearts for a memorable experience in God’s presence.
As preparations continue, anticipation remains high among worshippers who look forward to witnessing another remarkable chapter in the history of the Diocese’s harvest celebration.
