It was a moment of joy and celebration at Celestial Church of Christ Isheri Parish, Lagos State, Nigeria, on the 5th of July 2026 as the parish hosted the presentation of prizes to winners of the raffle draw organized during the 2026 Convention of the United States of America Diocese of Celestial Church of Christ.
The raffle draw formed part of activities during the Diocese Convention held in May 2026 at Rhode Island, USA and attracted participation from members and well-wishers across the church. The prize presentation ceremony was witnessed by hundreds of members who gathered to celebrate with the lucky winners.
In fulfillment of its promise to participants, the Diocese presented cash prizes of ₦200,000, ₦100,000 and ₦50,000 respectively to the first three winners of the raffle draw. Other winners also went home with exciting gifts including an iPad tablet, smartwatches and headphones.
Members of the parish and beneficiaries expressed their appreciation to the USA Diocese for demonstrating transparency and integrity by keeping the promises made to participants at the time the raffle tickets were sold. Many described the gesture as a demonstration of the Diocese’s commitment to building trust and confidence among members.
The Chairman of the Convention, AVSE Victor Adewusi reiterated the Convention committee over their commitment to fulfilling its obligations and ensuring that members continue to have confidence in the activities of the church. He noted that beyond fellowship and spiritual upliftment, the convention serves as an avenue to bring members together to deliberate on the future and growth of the church in the Western world.
The Shepherd of the parish also expressed gratitude to the USA Diocese for selecting the parish as the venue for the prize presentation ceremony and commended the leadership of the Diocese for its dedication to the welfare and unity of members.
The event ended in an atmosphere of thanksgiving, celebration and renewed commitment to the progress of the church and the success of future conventions.
