The 90th Birthday Thanksgiving Service in celebration of the Most Superior Evangelist Samson Olutunde Banjo at CCC Agidingbi Cathedral Lagos was graced by the unexpected presence of Pastor EMF Oshoffa. Many members of Celestial Church had eagerly anticipated the Pastor’s appearance at the Birthday Service held at CCC Makoko National Headquarters Parish Yaba on October 20, 2023, but the Pastor was absent without any clear explanation.
The pastor’s sudden visit to CCC Agidingbi Cathedral Lagos may have been a response to the members’ desire for him to surprise the Doyen of CCC Worldwide on his birthday and reestablish the reconciliation process. However, it was declared as a brief visit due to the Pastor’s prior commitment to an important harvest event at CCC Akinyele Parish, Ipaja, Lagos. VSE Tosho Oshoffa, in a statement, clarified that the Pastor would not have the opportunity to spend time with the Celebrant.
To avoid any misunderstandings, M/S/E Banjo chose not to address the congregation. Nevertheless, the Elders in the Parish acknowledged the Pastor’s presence and we believe that this unexpected visitation will shed light on the true purpose of reconciliation.
