The true measure of one’s strength lies in the divine mercy bestowed upon them, which is often determined by the mediocrity or excellence they exhibit.
Within Celestial Church of Christ, the impact of M/S/E Banjo has been profound and far-reaching, enriching not only the present generation but also those yet to come. His unwavering dedication to the evolution of the Church has been a source of inspiration for all. Remaining steadfast in upholding the strict instructions handed down by our Pastor Founder, he his the only surviving member of the first ever Board of Trustees, defending the Church’s interests within government institutions and beyond.
In order to honor and emulate the remarkable qualities of M/S/E Banjo, his biological children and spiritual son such has Superior Pius, Luli Concert & others came together to organized a grand 90th Birthday Celebration of the Doyen of CCC Worldwide. The event served as a testament to his invaluable contributions as a man of integrity and respect, as well as his role as one of the authors of the Church Constitution. He has chosen to faithfully follow the path set forth by our Pastor Founder and there seek to honor him for his unwavering commitment.
The Birthday Celebration, held at CCC Makoko National Headquarters Parish in Yaba, Lagos was a prestigious event attended by senior clergies, prominent captains of industries, military personnel and the distinguished Former President Olusegun Obasanjo. The city bore witness to the divine presence of the Holy Spirit, as the Service Conductor AVSE Tunji Bakare skillfully guided the congregation with his focused directives. The Prophetic declaration of M/S/E Nunayon regarding the Celebrant elicited an overwhelming response from all the attendees.
The day also brought together Prominent Imperial Monarchs who gathered to celebrate a man who has tirelessly dedicate himself in building God’s kingdom on earth. Renowned Artist Oyinkasola delivered a heartfelt eulogy, using her melodious voice to eloquently describe the character and virtues of fatherhood that are embodied in the man of the hour, our beloved father and grandfather at the age of 90.
The reception was graced by the enchanting melodies of Evang Abel Dosumu Megga 99, whose timeless percussion tunes mesmerized the guests. The event also provided an opportunity for everyone to express their admiration and appreciation for the remarkable impact of Most Superior Evangelist Samson Olutunde Banjo in Celestial Church of Christ.
Additionally, Yinka Erinle performed a captivating rendition of both celestial hymns and other classical pieces, captivating all those present.
A captivating life documentary of the nonagenarian was meticulously crafted by the Luli media team, chronicling the celebrant’s formative years and remarkable achievements. This was further enhanced by a mesmerizing dance drama presentation by the Ankara drama troupe, composed of talented young celestials who are making waves in the theater industry.
The celebrant took a moment to express his gratitude to each and every one of his children, both spiritual and biological for the honor bestowed upon him. He began with Superior Pius and extended his appreciation to those who took out a full-page advertisement for him in the Punch Newspaper. It was truly an unforgettable evening, filled with remarkable moments.
