Rev. EMF Oshoffa has called on members of the fold worldwide to observe this year’s Juvenile Harvest celebration with sobriety, solemnity, and deep reflection following the disturbing security situation in the country.
The spiritual directive comes in the wake of the shocking abduction of seven teachers and thirty-nine school children by suspected terrorists from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle, and Yawota Baptist Nursery and Primary School in Oriire Local Government Area of Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
In a statement made available to Celestial Prerogative News, Rev Pastor Oshoffa expressed deep sorrow over the unfortunate incident, lamenting the painful plight of the abducted children, including a two-year-old child, who are believed to be facing difficult and traumatic conditions in captivity.
According to the Spiritual Head, while the Juvenile Harvest remains one of the most symbolic celebrations within the Church a period dedicated to celebrating children and nurturing them in the fear of God, this year’s observance must equally reflect compassion, prayerfulness, moderation, and concern for families currently passing through pain and uncertainty.
Rev EMF Oshoffa further urged the Federal Government, security agencies, and all relevant authorities to urgently intensify efforts toward combating the rising wave of insecurity confronting the nation, particularly attacks targeting schools, children, and innocent citizens.
He stressed that the safety and protection of children should remain a collective national responsibility, while decisive actions must be taken to restore hope and confidence among Nigerians.
The Pastor also commiserated with families who lost their loved ones during the attack and offered prayers for divine intervention, protection, and the safe return of all abducted victims. As preparations continue for the 2026 Juvenile Harvest celebration across various parishes worldwide, members of the Celestial Church of Christ have also been encouraged to dedicate the occasion to fervent prayers for peace, healing, unity, and lasting security in Nigeria.
Celestial Prerogative News reports that several parishes and church leaders have continued to express concern over the increasing insecurity affecting children and educational institutions across the country, while many faithful have equally called for sustained prayers and humanitarian support for affected families.
