The Shepherd of CCC Genesis Global International, Lagos State, Oluso Ogundipe Oladele has officially announced the cancellation of the Parish Juvenile Harvest earlier scheduled to hold on 7th June 2026.
According to the Shepherd, the decision was taken following the reported abduction of 40 children at Ahoro, Esiele Yawota Community in Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State, an incident which has generated serious concern and emotional reactions among members and residents.
He said that the unfortunate development calls for sober reflection, prayers, and solidarity with the affected families rather than celebration, especially during a period meant to honour and appreciate children within the body of Christ.
The Shepherd further emphasized that the safety, wellbeing, and future of children remain a major priority to the Church, describing the incident as painful, disturbing, and unacceptable in any civilized society.
Members of the Parish have therefore been encouraged to use the period for intensive prayers for the safe return of the abducted children, while also calling on security agencies and relevant authorities to intensify efforts toward rescuing the victims and restoring peace within the affected community.d77ca150-b416-4ed8-a065-9262b9f4b317
