The recent developments within our Church have once again revealed an undeniable truth that righteousness, integrity, justice, uprightness, and obedience to divine instruction remain greater than the pursuit of material gains, selfish interests, or positions within the Church.
The visitation of the Pastor, Rev. EMF Oshoffa, to Oyo State between 9th May and 11th May 2026 further justified the long-standing disposition of Most Superior Evangelist Joshua Deji Nunayon as a courageous advocate of truth, reform, and positive change within the Church. During the historic gathering, MSE Nunayon spoke boldly and sincerely about the realities confronting the Church, while the Pastor himself openly acknowledged the urgent need for peace, reconciliation, and unity after years of misunderstandings and internal divisions.
The Pastor’s statement reflected a painful but honest reality that although many members wear the same white garment, the purity of heart toward one another has gradually diminished. This acknowledgement alone became a significant turning point in the ongoing conversations surrounding the future of the Church.
The response of MSE JD Nunayon to his new appointment as Oyo State Evangelist will undoubtedly remain documented for generations yet unborn. His words carried reflection, sincerity, responsibility, and a deep understanding of the present condition of the Church. Known widely as a fearless servant of God and an outspoken defender of truth, MSE Nunayon has consistently demonstrated the rare courage to say things exactly as they are, regardless of opposition or personal consequences.
It a fact that the Pastor genuinely desires peace, stability, preservation of his father’s legacy, and meaningful development for the Church. However, one of the greatest challenges confronting the administration has been the influence of opportunists and self-centered advisers who continually manipulate situations for personal gain. These individuals often present sincere and concerned members of the Church as enemies before the Pastor, particularly those who use social media platforms to express concerns about the direction of the Church.
Sadly for such individuals, recent events have increasingly exposed the difference between constructive criticism motivated by love for the Church and destructive opposition motivated by selfish ambition. The current realities within the Church are gradually validating many of the concerns previously raised by sincere stakeholders.
Now that MSE JD Nunayon appears to be returning fully into the center of Church administration and influence, many faithful members believe that a greater assignment lies ahead of him. Beyond titles and recognition, there is now a growing expectation for him to champion a full-scale administrative and spiritual reform capable of repositioning the Church for future generations.
Such reforms must include guiding the Pastor toward inclusive leadership, transparent governance, accountability, and broader involvement of respected Most Superior Evangelists in major decision-making processes affecting the Church worldwide. The era where critical decisions are influenced by a narrow circle of opportunists must give way to a system built on collective wisdom, sincerity, and genuine love for the growth of the Church.
Most importantly, the reconciliation of Most Superior Evangelist SO Banjo and Superior Evangelist Akintewa with the registered Board of Trustees remains one of the most important steps toward restoring confidence, institutional stability, and developmental continuity within the Church. Many members still remember the era that witnessed visible developmental strides, including progress surrounding Imeko and the vision of the Celestial University project.
These developmental aspirations must not be abandoned because of personal conflicts, internal politics, or administrative divisions. Rather, they should be revisited with sincerity and unity of purpose for the advancement of the Church and preservation of its future.
Furthermore, one of the greatest responsibilities before MSE Nunayon is the need to encourage the establishment of a clear, transparent, and spiritually guided succession framework for the Church. The future stability of the Church depends greatly on proactive planning, institutional strengthening, and the willingness to place collective interest above personal ambition.
The assignment before MSE JD Nunayon is therefore not merely administrative it is spiritual, historical, and generational. The Church now stands at a critical crossroads where truth, reconciliation, justice, accountability, and visionary leadership must prevail over division, manipulation, and personal interest.
History will remember those who stood for the truth when it mattered most.
