It was another significant step toward peace and reconciliation in the Church as Rev. EMF Oshoffa commences the 3 days historic visit to CCC The Rehoboth Family International Cathedral, Oke Ado, Ibadan, Oyo State. The development attracted the attention of Shepherds, Church workers, elders, and members across Oyo State.
The Pastor arrived at about 6:00 PM alongside his entourage from Imeko, receiving a warm and joyful welcome from members and leaders of the Church. During the occasion, the welcome address was delivered by VSE Emmanuel Adewale, who emphasized the strategic importance of Oyo State in the growth and development of the Church. He also highlighted several influential personalities and spiritual leaders the State has produced for the Church over the years.
Addressing the congregation, the Pastor openly declared that he now feels comfortable being with MSE JD Nunayon after the misunderstandings and crises of the past. He stressed that old differences should be forgotten, urging everyone to move forward in unity, peace, and love for the progress of the Church.
In a major announcement that drew applause from members, the Pastor declared that Baba Nunayon has been officially recognized as the State Evangelist of Oyo State with immediate effect, while still maintaining his position as the third highest-ranking cleric in the Church hierarchy.
The Pastor further announced that CCC Yemetu should now be addressed as an “Archdiocese,” with Baba Nunayon serving as its Shepherd.
Responding to the Pastor’s remarks, Baba Nunayon expressed appreciation for the Pastor’s spirit of peace, reconciliation, and love. He stated that he is not a rebellious individual, but rather a principled man who believes strongly in action and truth. He further urged all members of the Church to embrace peace, unity, and forgiveness, emphasizing that every misunderstanding should be laid to rest in the overall interest and future of the Church.
The atmosphere of the gathering reflected joy, renewed hope, and a strong desire among members to see lasting peace and unity reign within the Church.
