Just like the Israelites rejected the authoritarian rule of the Egyptians, members of CCC Harton Street, London united in opposition against a man who challenged the values of leadership with his selfish motives.
Amidst calls for a complete transformation in the church’s leadership structure, it became clear that the current leadership seems to have lost its way. Those who had journeyed with the Pastor Founder from the beginning were asked to step aside from church management, sparking debates about the lack of appropriate advice given to the Pastor and his reluctance to accept suggestions.
The recent turmoil within the Church administration has left us all in shock. The blatant disregard for transparency and the silence by the Pastor’s office has raised serious concerns. It is clear that someone within the inner circle is not being truthful with us, echoing the words of the great Chief Obafemi Awolowo during his trial in 1962 during his trial at the Coker Commission of inquiry when he stated that “Between him & Tafawa Balewa, someone is lying”.
It has been 744 hours since this disgraceful incident occurred, and yet those responsible for those ungodly act have faced no consequences. It seems that they believe their actions can be bought with money and influence. The Pastor’s Council has chosen to remain silent, failing to uphold their responsibilities as outlined in the Church Constitution, there muted attitude only signifies the intention to remain members of Council rather than discharging the assignment given to them.

Despite all of this, the parishioners at CCC Harton Street Parish National Headquarters, London have remained steadfast in their commitment to a Parish free from oppression. The unwavering dedication of their Shepherd is truly commendable, standing strong against the pressures from all sides.
The atmosphere was charged with excitement and anticipation as the congregation stood united in their determination to uphold the values and principles of their faith. The events of that day only served to strengthen their resolve and deepen their commitment to the Church.
