STATE OF EMERGENCY DECLARED IN RIVER STATE – CCC MEMBERS IN RIVER STATE TO BE VIGILANT
The recent political unrest in River State has led to the suspension of democratic processes in the state for the next six months. President Tinubu has declared a state of emergency with immediate effect, granting administrative powers to Vice Admiral Ibokette Ibas (Rtd) as the State Administrator.
This state of emergency will result in restrictions on movement to facilitate the implementation of security measures, impacting all residents of the state, including members of Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) residing in River State. Notably, CCC Port Harcourt Parish 1 serves as the headquarters of the South-South region of the Church with other parishes in the state. It is imperative that the regional head, VSE Allan Jones Udofia should communicates with Area and District heads to ensure compliance with directives aimed at safeguarding members. Additionally, we will advise that all night vigil across parishes in River State should be suspended until further notice.
In light of these developments, CCC members in River State are urged to remain vigilant and adhere to safety protocols to protect themselves and their parishes during this challenging period.
