The Shepherd of CCC Ibara Cathedral Abeokuta, Ogun State has exemplified true Christian values and demonstrated the qualities of a great leader who seeks peace and happiness for all. A/M/S/E Popoola addressed the congregation of his Parish on the 12th January 2025 immediately after the announcement. He humbly acknowledged his mistake and offered sincere apologies to the Usher department.
In a live stream on the Parish’s Facebook page, A/M/S/E Popoola emotional speech was captured by Celestial Prerogative News. He expressed his commitment to fulfilling God’s purpose and emphasized that he never intended to upset the Usher department.
During a meeting on 11th January 2025, the Usher department and A/M/S/E Popoola discussed the matter in depth to find a resolution. The Shepherd publicly apologized to them and pledged to continue spreading the message of evangelization.
It is important to address the letter released by the Media department, as it contradicts the video of the Shepherd’s apology. Furthermore, if the events described in the letter did not actually occur, why is the Shepherd issuing an apology and referencing an incident that supposedly took place on 5th January 2025?
Also the Media department should recognize that they are a subcommittee under the Parochial Committee and cannot issue a press statement without the approval of the Parochial Committee Chairman and the Parish Secretary signing those letter.
