This system lacks accountability and transparency, as church funds are being funneled into individual pockets. This is a disgraceful act within a church that has stood for over 76 years, where a select few individuals are making decisions about the future of the Church independently, rather than as a collective mission.
It is worth noting that this church is registered under the Companies and Allied Matters Act and the Corporate Affairs Commission Act, which stipulate in Section 334 that company directors are required to prepare financial statements for each year of the company. This directive raises serious concerns about the financial practices within the church and may constitute a criminal offense under Nigerian law.
