The Pastor has taken another decisive action to address the unrest at Celestial Church of Christ Moore Divisional Headquarters in Ile Ife, Osun State. A three-member committee has been established to thoroughly investigate and analyse the situation, with the goal of providing recommendations for resolution.
The committee members, Most/Sup/Evang Ajao, Most/Sup/Evang Akindoyin, and VSE Tosho Oshoffa will be visiting the Parish on Monday, 9th December 2024. Their mission is to listen to all parties involved and gather facts to help bring about a peaceful resolution.
This action comes in response to the incident that occurred on 29th November 2024, when the Taskforce Chairman attempted to deliver an official letter from the Pastor. The committee will also address the allegations against an individual who has been falsely claiming to be the Regional Head of Ile Ife.
There have been rumours circulating that the Pastor has temporarily relocated the Divisional Headquarters from CCC Moore Cathedral, Ile Ife to CCC Olorunsogo Parish, Ile Ife. This move is pending the final resolution of a matter, as it was reported that CCC Moore Cathedral in Ile Ife had failed to honour a letter of invitation sent by the Pastor on two occasions. In response, the Parish stated that the meeting times set by the Pastor’s office did not accommodate their schedules, as they were given only 24 hours notice to travel from Ile Ife to Lagos. This posed a challenge for some members who are civil servants, elderly individuals, and employees of private organizations.
The crisis in Ile Ife has two major roots. The first is attributed to internal conflicts within the Parish, with accusations against their Shepherd. The second crisis is linked to the parallel Regional Head in the town, as the majority of Shepherds in the region have decided not to send their monthly returns to the Pastor’s Office, nor allow any Pastor Representative to function in their Parishes. This situation has created a challenging environment for the church in Ile Ife, requiring immediate attention and resolution.
Brief information at the Committee includes- Most/Sup/Evang Ajao was the first transfer Shepherd of CCC Moore Cathedral Ile Ife following an agreement with the Planter, late (Prof) Evang Alao, who left CCC Yemetu Parish in Ibadan in the 60’s. Most/Sup/Evang Ajao initially joined CCC Yemetu in Ibadan before being transferred to CCC Moore Cathedral in Ile Ife. Similarly, Most/Sup/Evang Akindoyin is a native of Ile Ife. V/S/E Tosho Oshoffa currently serves as the Shepherd of CCC International Headquarters in Ketu, Lagos State.
