The Church Constitution empowers women in the Church to organize outdoor revivals for evangelism and prayer for their families, businesses, nation, and the Church. They can also spread the true gospel of Jesus Christ to unbelievers. The Church recognizes the significant impact women have when they actively participate in prayer, not only for themselves but for everything around them.
The wives of previous Pastors have left their mark on the church through proactive revivals and prophetic impartation. They dedicated their energy to the growth of women in the Church, using the CCC Women’s Council to advance the mission of the Church as a Bible-believing organization.
As the annual convention of the church starting on the 20th December 2024, in Imeko, Ogun State. This city has been a pilgrimage site for the Church for over four decades. Each unit of the Church is rolling out programs for the convention, including the Women’s Council, established in 1984 to uphold the integrity of the Church through the female gender.
Mother Celestial Celica Oshoffa, one of the current Pastor’s wives is frequently seen by the Pastor’s side in Nigeria and abroad. However, she has never been observed publicly participating in prayers with women, whether at CCC Makoko National Headquarters, CCC Ketu International Headquarters, or at the World Headquarters in Imeko, Ogun State, nor at any local parishes. Although she has accompanied the Pastor’s entourage to parishes during harvest, she has not led prayers during these visits or at any public gatherings for the female members of the Church.
On the Feast of the Holy Mary, the lack of activity displayed by the Pastor’s wife does not accurately reflect the true responsibilities of her position. However, her involvement and decision-making role become evident during meetings with the Pastor.
Instead, Mother Celestial Celica Oshoffa focuses on her pastoral duties, giving instructions to Shepherds during meetings with her husband and overseeing the distribution of anointment cards with a strict monitoring to the anointment money. While she does participate in some of the Pastor’s activities at their residence in Mogodo, Lagos State, as well as on trips to the Western world, she has not organized or led any revivals with the women’s council.
As we approach the 2024 Convention, we hope to see Mother Celestial Celica Oshoffa taking a more active role in public gatherings, leading revivals, seminars, and evangelism walks during the convention.
